Well this is my first blog.
Today is a sad day. A friend I have had for over 50 years is leaving in a day or two. We were eight when we met and now I'm 61 and she wont be here any more.
We had years apart, but always managed to connect for a few years here and there. We were both the youngest in big families, we both surfed together when we were 14, we went to discos, lost touch for a while and then both had kids, moved to live in the place where we met as kids, a little seaside town where we spent holidays and became friends. I haven't seen her for a few years, but I sent her the odd facebook message, now I wont be able to do that anymore. I'll miss Annie, she was a true mate, a piece of my childhood will go with her. Love you Annie.
